This isn't a pure browser-side tool: creating a link calls an EzyIMG API route that validates the URL, checks your chosen slug (or generates a random one) against an Upstash Redis database, and stores the slug-to-destination mapping there. That means the long URL itself is sent to the server, since something has to remember where each slug points when a visitor clicks it, but no file is ever involved and nothing about your browsing is tracked.
A handful of words are reserved (api, about, privacy, and similar system paths) so they can't be claimed as slugs, and if you request a slug someone already took for a different destination, the request is rejected instead of silently overwritten. Once created, a link resolves with a direct redirect from ezyimg.com straight to your destination, no interstitial page and no ads, and it keeps working for as long as its record stays in the database.
