EzyIMG was built out of a simple frustration: every free online media tool either uploads your files to a remote server, slaps a watermark on the output, or locks useful features behind a paywall. We believe the best tool is one that works instantly, respects your privacy, and costs nothing: no account, no subscription, no catches.
Our philosophy is browser-based processing first. Every GIF, video, image, audio, and PDF operation runs locally using WebAssembly and the browser's native APIs. Your files never leave your device. That is not a marketing claim. It is an architectural constraint we chose on purpose.

How does EzyIMG compare to alternatives? Unlike Ezgif (which uploads files to its servers) and Convertio (which requires an account for larger files), EzyIMG processes everything client-side, meaning your files stay on your device. Unlike Canva or Adobe Express, there is no free-tier limit and no watermark on any output. Unlike individual converter sites, EzyIMG offers 60+ tools across every major media format in one place.
How It Works - Browser-Based Processing
All video and GIF processing on EzyIMG uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly (ffmpeg.wasm). This is the same industry-standard media processing engine used by professional software, running directly inside your browser tab. Image tools use the browser's Canvas API and native JavaScript. PDF tools use pdf-lib and PDF.js, both open-source, client-side libraries. No data is sent to any server for any of these operations.
The only tools that require a network connection are the Video Downloader (which fetches video metadata from external URLs), the Video Transcriber (which uses a speech-to-text API), and the URL Shortener (which stores links in a database). All other tools are entirely offline-capable once the page and WebAssembly modules have loaded.

EzyIMG was built by a solo developer who got tired of online tools that demand an upload, an account, or a subscription just to crop an image or trim a video. What started as a personal tool for everyday file tasks slowly grew into a full toolkit covering GIFs, video, images, audio, and PDFs.
